Minha Park

Minha Park is an artist based in Seoul who creates films and audio-visual installations. She has a longstanding interest in visual systems and the operations of the illusion. This interest echoes through her work in various thematic threads, including desert mirage, movie special effects, light, star images. Through her work, she explores how media die out, survive, and intermingle.




Park received a MFA from the California Institute of the Arts. Park has participated in numerous exhibitions and film festivals held at the Arko Art Center; Lux Moving Image; Seoul Museum of Art; Doosan Gallery; National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Seoul; 27th Images Festival (Vtape Award); 9th EXiS Film Festival (Jungwoon Award); the 56th Festival International de Cine de Gijón; Luckman Gallery; Nam June Paik Art Center, among others. With her film Cosmic Kaleidoscope (2018), she received the Jury Special Mention for Best Short Film at the 72nd Edinburgh International Film Festival. Park’s work is in public collections including the Museum of Contemporary Art, Busan; Korean Film Archive; Arko Art Center Media Archive, Seoul. In 2020, she was selected for an Atelier residency at the Citè Internationale des Arts in Paris (2021-2022), funded by Leeum Samsung Museum of Art.
