Dandong Travelog
2012, 13min, FHD, single channel video, voice, color
This film begins with three North Korean people that Park Minha fortuitously observes on the border between China and North Korea (along the Amnok and Duman rivers). The duration of the short encounter captured on camera is 1 minute and 52 seconds. Based on the final frame of the footage, the artist begins to fabricate a fiction about their personal lives. At the same time, these detailed guesses paradoxically emphasize a reality in which one’s limited perspective as a South Korean, and as a tourist, cannot be overcome.

The video comprises three chapters.
1. A Man Running
2. A Woman on the Phone
3. The Child in Yellow
